Full overview

Become autonomous on Proxmox VE, the open source virtualization platform that has become a credible VMware alternative for SMBs. In one week you design a multi-node HA cluster, configure ZFS replication, deploy a PBS backup server and roll out your first VMs and LXC containers.

What you'll learn

  • Install Proxmox VE on bare-metal or in nested virtualization
  • Design a multi-node Proxmox cluster with Corosync
  • Configure high availability (HA) and fencing
  • Deploy VMs (KVM/QEMU) and LXC containers
  • Set up Proxmox Backup Server (PBS) with a 3-2-1 strategy
  • Administer Proxmox via web UI, CLI and API

Prerequisites

  • Basic Linux administration (command line, SSH)
  • Familiar with virtualization concepts (VM, hypervisor)
  • Have a real virtualization project in mind
